Finally got a decent pic of a Northern Pintail. Last time trying to get a Pintail I learned a valuable lesson of checking your gear before leaving home. No SD card in the camera turned the photo shot to a walk around the marsh.

nice shot. I love pintails. They always look so formal. Late last week I took my camera to a local lake to see if any new ducks had shown up. As I pulled up an immature bald eagle did a fly by pretty close. Raised the camera up and nothing. Same thing, my Xqd and SD cards were on the kitchen table right where I left them the night before.

Nice sharp photo. Agreed they are my fav as well. We’ve had a lot passing thru the past two months. I like photographing them at lift off with good front lighting with the water dispersed as they take off.
