We took our granddaughter back to college this last weekend and had time for a short drive on Monday. Not much to see. The weather wasn't great, tthe light was not great and the shots were not great, except for that horizon (last shot). The road was the George Washington Parkway, the river was the Potomac and the horizon included the Washington Monument looking back towards downtown DC. It was like we were in the woods on a simple drive with no one around, until you looked around. Just a joy to see in that setting and atmosphere, even if the photos are pretty so-so.
