That's good stuff. Amazed at how good the screw on lens works. Does it work well at all focal lengths ? Sad to see they are discontinued.

Hmmm. I'm trying to remember, but it's been a few years since I had that camera and achromat. I think I just experimented until it looked right...that camera had a built in zoom lens rather than interchangeable lenses. The working distance range was roughly 10-16 inches on the 500D (+2.) The Marumi +3 achromat was much harder to use, with roughly a minimum working distance of 11 inches and a maximum working distance of 12 inches. It was really neat on the few occasions I got it right. Glad I have real macro lenses now, though.
