I enjoyed a great opening weekend of duck season a few weeks ago. It was especially fun as my hunting partner was content to stay in the field with me for an hour after we finished shooting to let me do some shooting with my 180 - 600mm Nikon.
One of the best things to happen was a snowy egret flying in to the pond and sitting on a tree top about 75 yards from me. I. have hunted at this pond for more than 50 years, and this is the first time I have ever had a snowy egret come in close to me like this.
