I just returned from a trip to Florida photographing Osprey. 18,157 pics in 2 1/2 days.
Sony (A1, 200-600mm G) no IS, handheld
Lossless compressed RAW (20fps), manual
shutter button AF, focus area zone with tracking.
1/5000s, F/6.3, ISO adjusted using wheel.
Topaz DeNoise. Sharpen, Lightroom
Our group were in a boat. Near the nests on Blue Cypress Lake, we kept the sun at our backs so the birds were front lit. The Florida sun is quite strong, so we could use a fast shutter speed and still have low noise. Starting from 7am we photographed the nests on the west shore.
