This was taken on my first try out with the D5 I bought. The bird appeared rapidly and I didn't think quickly enough to change my shutter speed which was at 1/350. However the eyes are sharp so I'm pleased. Serendipitously the blurred wings give an impression of movement.

I really enjoyed shooting my D5.....and I'm sure I didn't take advantage of all the features it has! It - and my D850 - enabled me to get some special images........ too soon gone.

In this case, the slow SS worked, I like the sharp body and fish with the blurred wings. They can sneak up on you, can't count the number I've seen after they already passed by.
