Scanning my libraries I came across this old image shot with my first DSLR nearly 20 years ago. I've printed other shots captured that morning but always skipped on by this one (though I didn't delete it :) ) but this morning as I was playing around with the latest LR release and its Point Color tool I decided to take a crack at this image to try to get back to the play of fall foliage against the pink in the pre dawn sky that led me to capture the image in the first place. The Point Color feature is great but what hit me was how much all the processing tools have evolved over time and how much easier it was to get this image back closer to what it felt like in the field (as best I can remember).
