A nice photo Morgan! I have photographed at the Painted Hills several times over the years. My favorite time is in the Spring especially after a Rain and clearing skies as those colors come to life.

Are you seeing may wild flower in the spring?

Late mid May early June for sure. I’ll be over in that area (Morrow County ) Trail Riding with our UTV in May. We’ll make the loop over to Sisters Oregon on Hwy 26 and stop at the Painted Hills.

COOL! Have not been to the Painted Hills, but will mention that there are areas in Petrified Forest National Park in AZ that have very similar looking hills. They also have some hills there that have a bluish cast to them.

Of particular interest at Petrified Forest National Park.....Blue Mesa Loop Trail. Don't miss the north entrance to the park, outstanding colors because of the Painted Desert.

Nizhoni Point is a must see at the north end of the park.
