Pangolin Photo Safari

I spent 6days with Pangolin, 3 days on the houseboat and 3 days at the hotel. I much preferred the hotel as its nice having a spacious well appointed room. Personally it was nice having a mixture of land and water excursions. Overall it was a great experience as everything was geared towards photography. I would say it was well worth the cost.
On the side note there were 5 of us in the group and 4 of us had Z180-600 mm lens. Everyone seemed pleased with the lens. The only complaint I have is the weight ( I have shoulder & neck issues).

The colour of the above photo looks totally different than on my desktop. Does anyone know why?

Very nice images, Peter.
If your desktop monitor's colours seem off, my first thought is that it needs calibration. Did you calibrate yours?
On the other hand, if it's only about that specific image, I would play around with the white balance and levels of the image until I'm satisfied.

Really nice. I have never been to Africa (and may never go), but I have looked into Pangolin and watched some of their YouTube videos. I do like their base hotel and their boat with lens mounts. They have a "best of" safari that is more reasonably priced than their others. What turned me off, though, is they have no dates listed for it so you cannot easily plan or compare. When I emailed them to ask for dates, they tried to do a hard sell and get me to call them to work out something.

It's definitely worth going to Pangolin. You might want to consider going in March. I believe it's their low season.

Great set of images and a super location for wildlife photography.
My wife and I went on the same trip a few years ago, and came home with some super images.
The photo hosts are very experienced with the local wildlife, and also provided excellent advice on camera set ups and post processing if one required this.
Well worth a visit.

Great shots! Great capture of the malachite kingfisher taking off. Went with Pangolin for my one and only (so far) Africa trip, was a wonderful experience. Hope to do more with them in future.

I'm a fan of Pangolin's offerings, been there twice and have already booked my 3rd trip for late December 24, so I can relate to your experience.
