Phone as Field Monitor connection.

As I am someone with back issues, I am looking into using my android phone as a field monitor.

I am not looking to pay £500-£900 for a pro monitor, as this will only be used when I have the camera inverted on the tripod and need something higher, so I don't have to stoop and bend.
There are many videos out there telling you to use an HDMI Capture Device, and then 2 or 3 cables to hook everything up.

With these videos being quite old now, I was wondering if anyone has any experience in doing this on a Z8/Z9 and can you use 'one' cable direct from camera to phone, or do you have to use an HDMI Capture Device?

If you have an Android phone, you can follow this: https://www.diyvideostudio.com/use-your-android-phone-as-a-camera-monitor-and-recorder/. Many cameras have apps which allow a remote connection, live view, and photography (via local Wifi or BT).
