I was at a local lake yesterday afternoon, mostly looking for fall colors for landscape shots. It had been heavy rain all day and there was a flock of cormorants on the lake which are not normally there, but must have stopped during migration and perhaps the weather. I was driving off when I noticed a tiny waterfowl of some sort swimming and diving around. I had to come home and look it up on a bird ID app and it came up as a pied-billed grebe. First one I have ever seen.
