Got to spend an hour or so with a very gregarious flock of Pinyon Jays last week outside Helena. Always a joy to see (and hear) these beautiful birds!

These were my Montana lifers, I honestly kinda forgot that they do come up into Montana because they're pretty rare west of the Divide where I live. I usually associate them more with the Southwest, so it was a nice surprise to get some up here
