Hey, thanks Woody. Its probably the same species. According to the web, little sweet betsy also is known as whip-poor-will flower, large toadshade, purple toadshade, and bloody butcher.

Gorgeous flower and foliage! Using a 300 PF +1.4Tc with a full frame gives an awesome result witch is for me a revelation!

Very nice captured and processed! Little Betsy is a very unusual trillium. In the few times I've gone to the Smokies for spring flowers, I've never seen one like this.
