Post upgrade to Sequoia -->LR_Classic performance

Just wondering if others have noticed significant performance issues following installation of OS X Sequoia(15.1). I run an iMac (2019) with 40GB ram but since the update I've found the system "hangs" for long periods with a red background to the main menu bar, usually accompanied by the sound of the fan driving hard. I've noticed the issue particularly whilst working with masks and the program trying to generate preview updates....sometimes failing completely. Stepping through the history shows the effects updating in the small Navigator window but they do not translate to the main editing screen...(example attached). Zooming the main screen out to 33% and then back again does improve things sometimes. Any observations and advice would be most welcome.

M1 MacBook Pro, 64Gb RAM, 32 core GPU, MacOS Sequoia 15.1. I’ve had no performance problems with LrC (14.0.1).

If your iMac is equipped with with an Intel processor it may be time to consider an upgrade.

Compare your iMac's specs against Adobe's requirements. In particular focus on processor and graphics card.

Also, take a look at these.
