I might be being dumb with this question but, can you set switching pre capture to a button etc so it can be switched on and off quick?
If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).
What camera and model?I might be being dumb with this question but, can you set switching pre capture to a button etc so it can be switched on and off quick?
Not that I can tell. Once you have pre-capture setup in menu d4 then it’s making sure you’re in a jpeg shooting mode (ex 30fps, 60fps) and pressing the shutter halfway continuously. I haven’t tried it on my Z8 but someone said here that AF-ON held down would do the same thing if you’re in the high speed jpeg shooting modes.A Z8
That what I was thinking. oh well.Not that I can tell. I don't think so. See pages 399 to 402 in Steve's Z8/Z9 Setup Guide.A Z8
was just getting to those pages now.I don't think so. See pages 399 to 402 in Steve's Z8/Z9 Setup Guide.
I use this method on my Z9 but the Z9 as this on a drive dial the Z8 doesn’t have so I didn’t know if it worked the same. I never tried it’s not a feature I use often.I have pre capture always on and actually is engaged when I switch from 20fps (Raw) to 30fps (Jpg)
Thanks I have been able to do what I was trying to do with that method.I set my Z9 like this, Z8 should be the same. Just wish it was RAW.
