Guys,

I thought I should share this with you, for those of you who might not be aware...as I know many of you also shoot with D500’s and might be in the market for a battery grip.

I just purchased a “like new” used MB-D17 battery grip for my D500 from MPB.com. I got it in today and not only was it “like new”, but I believe it actually was new....original box and warranty paperwork was included. I installed the grip and it works absolutely perfectly. This is my first battery grip and I’m looking forward to getting out and testing it in the field. I can’t believe I got it for $139!

I have purchased and traded many items through MPB.com and have had nothing but positive experiences with them, and they continue to impress me with their prices on used gear.

As of writing this, they currently have 10 more MB-D17 grips listed for sale (ranging from “good” to “like new” condition), all for under $140. If any of you are interested in a battery grip for your D500....I suggest jumping on one of these. Here is a link for your convenience:

I was....and could end up in the market again. Just as an FYI though for those looking, I bought an aftermarket Neewer for my D500 and have yet to find any flaws. I know it will not have the weatherproofing nor ruggedness of the OEM, but I bought a "Used-Good" from Amazon and I think it is brand new without original packaging....I managed to only have $13 dollars in it. When it fails me, I will look to MPB. I have also used them for a decent number of items and always had good luck.
