At the end of September at 3000m above sea level it is quite easy on a bad weather day to get a few cm of snow
Ptarmigan, still in summer dress struggle to blend in under these conditions

It might sound strange to you but it is almost easier in winter when they are white, even on snow. It takes a trained eye, they are whiter than snow itself
