Pterodactyl Takes Flight!

This Great Blue Heron takes flight in the early morning sunrise about a week ago. Managed to grab a couple shots as he flew by.

I had to laugh when I saw your topic title - I hav though of them as pterodactyls sometimes too! Nice captures.

LOL.. yep...they certainly do remind you of one. But seeing them stand in water or on a dock somewhere you don't think that. But when in flight!! lol. Thanks Steve.

thanks!!.. I got lucky to catch him where and when I did. He appeared out of nowhere and I was just about to put the camera away as I was at work and the boss was looking for me! lol
