I am a big fan of close-up/macro work and flower photography. I am not a plant person and cannot name most of the plants I photograph. This plant grew in the gardens outside my apartment while living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. They were fascinating subjects for focus shift and focus stacking treatments.

Nikon Z6, Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 S, with Canon 500D Closeup lens; 1/100sec, f/3.5, ISO 200. Stacked in Helicon Focus using Method C, 4 and processed on LrC, uncropped.

Could be a purple heart, Tradescantia pallida
That is what I get from PlantSnap and cinfirmed with a photo match in a Google search, They were used as decoratives in the gardens at the compound where I lived in Jeddah. Just loved them, and they are such great photo subjects. There will be other posts of this plant as I continue to cleanup my files. Thank you!
