Pushing the limits of AF and Tracking

I thought I would push the outer limits of my camera's AF and Tracking abilities with this beautiful box turtle :ROFLMAO: :) :ROFLMAO: (I think male due to red eyes and bright colors, but I didn't pick it up to see the underside of the shell's shape if it was concave or not).

That is entirely possible. With that 100mm macro, I was pretty close. Didn't seem to bother him. We went on up the trail a little way and about 45 minutes later, he was only about 10 feet from where I took the photo. He seemed to know where he was going, just had all day to get there.
