Thank you very much Ralph..Wow! Beautiful Collection!
I am in India in the state of Tamil Nadu. The hawk eagle and serpent eagle were in the Nilgiri hills. All others were from a lake bed about 100 kms from Chennai. Were they all taken in the same general location? Where are you located?
Thank you. AgreeBeautiful photos! You demonstrate the point that knowing your subject is more important than having a 500 or 600mm lens.
These were on a lake bed. We reached the lake by 5.15 am after starting from home around 3. We were on 4x4. After scouting The approach to the birds on a perch or mound was critical. Approaching directly would scare them away. We had to circle around a few times till we got close enough. All pictures were taken from the vehicle. Getting down and staying low was attempted after we got a few good picturesWow! Excellent shots of so many varying raptors. What did you do to be able to make these shots so close to them, in a special hide-out or blind?
Thank you Gordon...Wonderful set of images.
Just amazing photos! Couldn't imagine getting this variety in a lifetime.
