Recommended Hiking Tripod w/Nikon D810

I currently have a Manfrotto 055 Carbon Fiber Magnesium tripod with a Manfrotto 468MGRC2 Ball Head that I'm using with my Nikon D810. I love the tripod, but it's so heavy to carry on my backpack and would like to see if anyone has any recommendations for a lighter tripod that would support the D810 safely.
Thanks to all.

I have been considering the Peak Design travel tripod, with the Universal Head Adapter so I can use a regular ball head or a gimbal instead of the one that comes with it. It gets mostly good reviews. Anyone have one?

I use a Manfrotto befree in aluminum that works well with most any camera body and the typical 400, 500, and 600mm zooms. The ball head isn't the greatest although it is manageable, but it's light and compact at 3.1 lbs and it extends to 57" and handles up to 8.8lbs. My D500 + Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 = 6.75 lbs. When I take the Nikon 600mm f/4 along then it's a Sirui carbon fiber tripod with a Nest gimal head. The combination is not that heavy, but it is a bit bulky. I strap it to the outside of my backpack.

It depends largely on the working height you need when shooting. A fantastic travel tripod is the CT-3441T Traveler CF tripods that sells for $435 (including an excellent carry case). It is accurately rated at 44 lb load capacity and it weighs only 2.6 lbs and collapses down to 18.9 inches. Working height of 57 inches without the center column extended and 68 inches with the column extended. When putting weight on the Feisol with the legs fully extended there is no detectable flexing of the legs.
