Friday morning my wife takes the dog out for their usual morning walk and sends me a message there’s a woodpecker in the neighbor’s palm tree. This was the perfect opportunity to try the Canon R7 with the 800mm f/11. Sure, it’s not the 600 f/4 or 800 f/5.6 monsters, but it’s also 10% or less of their price and still gives a decent shot.
