I had fun trying to catch this fellow in flight! Lots of photos....just a few keepers! Still a lot of fun!

Thank you guys for your encouraging comments. You don't know how much they mean to me!
The tour leader repeatedly mentioned that trying to get in-flight shots was "too hard" (for us??) and we should focus on more "doable" shots. I knew if I took home a hundred shots of a small head peeking out of a small hole - they would ALL end up in the trash. I saw this as an opportunity to practice...... Indeed all the "peeking" shots were sent to the trash, but I am happy with these keepers.

Not seeing your EXIF Karen….whatever it’s called .. Is your D850 getting some luv?
I sold my D850 2-3 years ago. For these images, I used my Z8 and 600mm TC, 600mm (cropped in post), one image is at f5.6 @ 1/6400 and ISO 12,00!!! and the other image is 6.3, 1/6400 and ISO 8,000. Lighting fluctuated quite a bit as it was during a light rain.Not seeing your EXIF Karen….whatever it’s called .. Is your D850 getting some luv?
