A collection of red-winged blackbird images, some male and some female. When I lived on a farm, I would hear them outside all summer long and recognize their call immediately. I found the first image interesting, as this blackbird spent a lot of time in the water.

Great shots. I like the reflection and #3 best. I find them hard to capture, by the time I hear their call and raise my camera, they are gone.

Thanks. When I first got my Nikon 500mm PF I took it over to a park that has an area where there are a lot of reeds and some water for the birds. The blackbirds love and dominate that area, and they tolerate people much better because they are frequently around. A lot of the pictures are from there, but the one with the blackbird in the water was from Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.
