I love the soft background shades and colors and the beautiful grey feathers. Bird looks really sharp but possibly a tad overexposed, especially in the face, eye area. There is a bit too much space behind the long legged beauty. If possible I would crop so the bird has a bit more space to walk into, and a bit more below his feet- would balance the composition better I think.

I agree with the overexposed face and have tried to tone it down, I'll do a little more. Unfortunately, I can't do much with the composition because I was very close to the bird. This is an example of when I could have used a shorter lens and/or zoom. Thanks.

Have you tried a 4x5 instead of 2x3 aspect ratio? That might be enough to lessen the impact of the empty space behind the bird.
