Hi there,

For people that have replaced the foot, curious on what worked and what's not long enough for balance?

I've read that the RSS is too short, my Kirk than I pulled of my 400G is too short with the D850 bare but the D5 just balances at the end.

is the Wimberley AP-555 long enough for balance with a non gripped body?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Jobu Design LF-N604FL mounted on my Nikon 500mm f/4 E and it balances really good with my Z6ii both with and without the battery grip. But then I dont know how the 600mm balance compared to my 500mm though...

I have the RRS and it's fine with my D5, D6 and gripped D500, D850's. I also have the RRS long lens support which I really like, it works very well and gives you a lot more stability.

I like the Wimberley over any other on any lens, but not used it on your lens. I'll mention that a D5 or D6 with the 200-500 racked all out is just slight front heavy of balance, will not drop down so you can release the gear with no concern. This on Wimberley gimble heads.
