Once this is done does updating to firmware 5 include previous firmware updates?

Each firmware update is a complete replacement of the camera’s firmware. It will include all prior updates.

thanks….reason I am thinking about a factory reset is after taking a picture it does not show in monitor… any ideas?
You may have inadvertently pressed the Monitor mode button (left side of the viewfinder). You can press it to cycle through various options. The default is Automatic Display Switch. When that is set, when the viewfinder eye sensor is obscured by head (or hand
) the viewfinder will be the active display. Otherwise the monitor will be the active display. There are Viewfinder only and Monitor only options, too.Volette

Did you disable the option to review images after you take them?
