Resident Bald Eagles

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I have gained the trust of this pair of eagles. I have been shooting them from a kayak for 7 seven years and enjoy watching them raise eaglets every year.
They stay here on lake degray, arkansas all year. I have kept the nest locations secret. Eaglets are born in late February
Image taken in heavy fog.
Nikon D500 200-500@500 1/500sec at f/8.0, auto iso 320 +3ev.
Very seldom can I get them to look at me.
Hardest thing when shooting from a kayak is compensating for constant movement.

Nice that you have access to a nest site. They figure out pretty quickly who/what is/isn't something to worry about. And yes, once they accept you it's hard to get eye contact thereafter.
