Yesterday I took a brief detour on my way to run errands at a popular fishing/parking area along one of the rivers here in Western PA. I also wanted to put my "new" 300mm F/4 AF-S IF-ED + TC14 to the test since I haven't really photographed many birds in flight with it. Overall, it performed much better than my old Tokina. The D7500 AF combined with the AF speed of the lens was able to keep up with this bird flying straight at me. I think this shows that an ordinary species in good light can result in some decent photos!
