I find nature incredibly interesting. Rufous Fantails will fly up to distances of 800klms (500 miles) or thereabouts to nest and breed and then make the return journey sometime after their chicks have fledged. These little birds (approx 15cm or 6 inches) are reasonably tolerant of humans during breeding so long as we are not ‘on top’ of them. These images are of seperate birds at different location. Used a 500mm lens for these shots.

Both are great shots. I really like the fanned tail in the second. I, too, find the journeys of these tiny creatures to be quite interesting and amazing.
