Hi folks,

The annual salmon season is in full swing and the Bald Eagles are gathering in large numbers to munch on the tasty remains.

Gulls were a big problem as they were also gathered in large numbers and were constantly photobombing, so it was very difficult to get "clean" shots.

Thanks, Ralph. I'm in two minds about that one: Its one of the few occasions I wish I had a full frame camera as I'd like to have included more of the adult. However, I like the eye contact.

I don't think we're up to full population yet: In previous years, estimates have been 3500-4000 eagles and people I've spoken to suggest we're not there yet.

Welcome. Also, welcome to the slipped and broke your lens club. Believe it or not, you are not the only one and you are in good company. Many of us have slipped, tumbled and broke lenses, cameras, lens mounts and the like.

That must have been fun shooting like that, very well done.
