They're fun to watch, that's exactly what this guy was doing. First day I had the Plena so I was out trying it on various things and just lay down and waited and they ran by about 6 feet in front of me.

I’ve recently purchased the Plena and eager to give it a workout also…👍

Not “photo-bombing” your post Lee…but these little guys are entertaining, running across the shoreline then stopping and poking their bills into the sand simultaneously.

You're not bombing. They're pretty fun to watch, I had about 2-3 that were hanging out with a willet in a pack. I took a bunch of shots of them probing the sand but never could see what they were pulling out or it's super small.

I’ve seen that also….a willet in the group…. The willets seem to be foraging for sand fleas (little crustaceans) and I think the sanderlings are getting small sea worms.
