I've tried for years to get to a good opportunity to be with these majestic birds. This week it finally happened. :)
Unfortunately, they were on private property at a distance of 1000 feet and more. The light was full sun so atmospheric turbulence at this distance was a major problem affecting image quality. To get the needed focal length I used the RF200-800 + 1.4x TC + 4K60p crop video mode for a total of 800 x 1.4 x 1.6 = 1792mm. Using this combo for still images is not good for IQ, but for video it's still acceptable.
