Yesterday morning when finishing a late breakfast on our patio my wife and I noticed a Green Heron on the creek that runs past our house about 150 ft away. We live in a rural area and have a decent amount of wildlife around, especially around the creek so I usually have a camera nearby yesterday I had my Z8 with the Z800 PF attached on the table and after grabbing a few safety shots was able to move slowly a bit closer to within about 40 ft keeping out of the birds sight line using intervening trees and obtained a number of shots including the one below. This time of year great blue herons are fairly common on the creek but the little greens much less so.
