These birds can basically stomp the snake to death; they will sometimes pick up the snake and slam it to the ground; an efficient snake killer.

Pretty cool sighting, nicely seen Howard, these guys are real apex predators.

One of my favourite birds. Saw them described as ninja eagles on stilts. The speed and power of their kick is extraordinary. I often see them but it’s harder to see a kill you can capture. And still works despite being in fairly hostile light.
