The weather has not cooperated but the Shad and Eagles have shown up at Bombay Hook for the Spring Shad Run
The light is very difficult at the Slat Marsh by Shearness Pool - it is not until =late afternoon that sun gets behind you. You also need low tide so the fish are just sitting in the mud and shallow water for the lay eagles to pick. Yesterday low tide was around noon so the light was difficult. There were so many stranded fish that there were very few squbles, just too many fish to pick. Many eagles, like the second image, got bloody beaks from all the fish they ate.
