Short-eared Owls...

It's a time of year that many of us up here in the PNW wait for all year, the return of the Short-eared Owls. They started showing up roughly a month ago, to everyone's delight. And the number of owls seem to be more than last year at this time which is very encouraging to all of us. So, here's some of the shots I've got on my last two outings.

Pacific North West in the US - usually the western half/coastal areas of Washington state, Oregon, and sometimes northern California. E.g. Cannon Beach!

Thanks Sal, it looks like Dave already answered your question. However, when I refer to PNW I'm specifically referring to Washington State in regards to the rest of the country.
