Short Landing

Went by the Bald Eagle nest again today and got some nice shots of one of the adults landing on a branch. I really cropped in on this shot and hope it doesn't seem too bad.

I like the pose and I think with some post process tweaking (other than cropping) it might "pop" a little more:

If you have the ISO headroom, I'd try and pull up the underwing and leg feather shadows
Using a radial filter in LR, I'd see if I could increase the exposure of the head and beak. That might help with the bluish cast on it's head and then you could play with the yellow and orange channels for a more colorful beak.
Using the same crop factor I'd shift the image to the left so there is more room on the right
Lastly, I'd clone out the branches that will intrude into the image when you image shift to the left.
