Should I turn off in camera stabilization when transporting the camera.

I just read a post in Ugly Hedgehog where a photographer contacted Canon about turning off the IBIS on his Canon R5 when transporting it. He was told that he should turn it off in the menu after removing the lens from the camera. Should those of us using Nikon and Sony mirrorless cameras do something similar?

Honestly, that doesn't make sense to me, IBIS should "park" when you shut the camera off. I suppose if there's a chance the camera could accidentally get switched on its a thing, but I have never seen any reference in a Nikon or Sony manual that recommended turning off IBIS like that for moving the camera.
