Shutter Angle - do you like it

When I heard about shutter angle option on the Z9 it seemed like a great idea to me. I know I can adjust the shutter speed when shooting videos but this saves a step (since I am newbie at video, anything that can help is a good thing).

I am a bit surprised that Nikon has not added a shutter angle option to the Z 8. Perhaps is FW 2.2 for the Z 8?

This may be down to the Z9 body being a bit better suited for video work than the Z8. Larger battery, better heat dissipation, dual CFE slots. Wouldn't surprise me if Nikon chose to gate some features from the Z8 to push more video-oriented users onto the more expensive body.

Also I think it is a useful option to have, lets you have more freedom to achieve the exposure you want while being able to use the shutter exposure option to achieve a certain feel with your footage. The more control the better.

Yep, my guess is we'll see it with the next firmware update for the 8.

I agree with you. What's nice about it is if you want to make a frame rate adjustment you don't need to remember to change the shutter speed as well.
