Shutter black-out a good thing?

I have a Sony a7Riv and really didn't notice the shutter black-out being any problem for me. Now I found a reason why I actually LIKE it. I started shooting with the silent shutter and if it wasn't for the black-out I wouldn't even know if I'd taken the pictures. I guess I could watch the buffer being cleared, but I like the black-out as an indication that I actually took some pictures. Bad thing = good thing?
