Beautiful light!!! Where was this, Fred? Near mammoth, Convict? If interested in other sites, The Minarets make gorgeous shots at sunrise in winter, since you like the cold. Turnout before going downhill towards Devil's Postpile and Rainbow falls Red's Meadow, snow permitting. Winter sunsets in Owens valley never seem to disappoint, do they?

This was taken at the trailhead for McGee Creek Canyon, Kirk. Great hike on a really frosty morning.
