So I’m looking at renting (Lensrentals.com - have used numerous times) a longer lens for an outdoor dog event where I need extra reach. Still shooting Nikon F series glass (with D850 and D6). Longest lens right now that I own is 300mm f/2.8.
Sadly they have substantially reduced the selection of Nikon “F” mount glass in longer focal lengths. Certainly it was bound to happen. They do have the Sigma 500mm f/4 DG OS HSM Sports lens available yet I’ve had no experience with it. Curious if anyone had shot with this lens and had any thoughts?
