This is an image of the Silver Salmon Lodge, where I stayed during my trip to Alaska last August. What a beautiful part of the world. It was a great place to stay, with excellent food and tremendous opportunities to see and photograph coastal brown bears (grizzlies). Everyone from the owner to the guides to the chef really worked hard to ensure our trip was wonderful. If you get the chance, it's well worth the trip.

No, I didn't, and the bears didn't either - since the run was late. I did get a lot of bear photographs, which is what I went there for.

Thanks Dan. I got lucky on the weather for about a day and a half. This was one of those instances when we were watching something else, and I remembered to look behind me.
