OOPS-I forgot to resize. Snow Geese, Loess Bluffs NWR (North-west corner of Missouri), Sunset, March 7, 2021. A friend and I made a trip to Loess Bluffs NWR March 7-8. We specifically hoped to get some sunset pictures with geese flying. The geese and weather did not disappoint. The official count was 1,068,070 geese on the refuge. It was one of the most amazing sights I have seen. Here are some variations on a theme.

Thank you. We picked this particular spot because we knew where the sun was going to set and because of the geese in the foreground. All we had to do was wait for the geese to fly in front of the setting sun.
