Looks like this year is turning out into an eruption year for the Snowies after a terrible 2023. Multiple sightings of different individuals in an area that I typically see one at most all winter. I love photographing these owls perched especially near water but can't pass an opportunity for some BIF shots.

Beautiful Jose!👍👍👍 I hope they make their way down to the Jersey Shore🙏🏻

Great shots. I have gone out twice to photograph them, but both times they were stationary out in the dune grass and not doing much. Watched them for a few hours and they never moved. I'm going to keep going back until I get some shots I'm happy with. I'm determined this year to get some good shots. I'm also hoping to see some short eared owls as I hear there a some of those around right now too.

Stunning shots! Great work. I spent yesterday morning searching for one of these guys; no luck. Hope it is a high frequency migration year!
Thanks. There is much more Snowie activity this year than last year. I counted 4 different individuals in farmer's fields on stretch of road in probably less than 5km. In normal years I would likely see one or none at all in that area. I think it's going to be a great year.
