I've never really taken pictures of birds until recently, since they were the most interesting thing coming and going in our yard the past year, and I also don't have anything longer than a 70-200 w/ 2x TC. I was hanging outside with my 2 year old and this flock of vultures landed in our redwood, maybe 30 feet up. This one was more interested in us than his friends and I managed to grab my camera from inside before he took off to join the rest. This shot stood out to me because it's one of the only ones with his face in focus (ha), and he's making eye contact, which is pretty cool.

Nice shot, especially the eye contact. Perhaps it's waiting for you to roll over and expire? 🤡

I think you can make the shot better by reducing exposure and increasing contrast a bit. It's a little bright.
