Sossusvlei Sand Dunes...Namibia.

We just returned from 3+ weeks in Namibia and Botswana. While most of the trip was focused on wildlife, some of the landscapes in Namibia were incredible. The largest sand dunes in the world, up to 1250 feet in height. Great light and contrasts....Here is one from our trip.

We positioned ourselves so that the tree was lined up with the leading edge of the dune...plus we had nice late day light. Thx.

We didn't climb the dune, spent a couple of hours in Deadvlei, then headed over to other dunes to explore/walk around, then lunch...with a jackal who sat down with us.
