We encountered this lady one late afternoon as the family was moving along one of the dirt roads in Lower Kruger NP. She was mostly in the bushes, making clean shots difficult, but finally she stopped on this anthill for a bit.

Love this bird. Wife says I wear too much red so she’s an inspiration. I did manage to see one in 2022 which was a thrill.
Thanks Michael. They are interesting birds. The baby's face is is yellow 1st year, then gradually it turns orange and then red. The females have a blue patch on the red sack, not always clearly visible. One up for your red team! I loved a red shirt when I was younger and I still love it!
Very nice. She clearly wanted to show off her lunch catch!
Thanks Steven - I wanted her to want to, too!
